• Cupcake
  • For this costume, you will create a large cupcake out of cardboard that will fit around your torso. First, get some corrugated cardboard (the kind that has ridges). Cut a large piece and form it into a circle around your waist. Glue or staple it at the back. Use a pastel paint to make it the color of your choice. Then add some straps so you can suspend it from your shoulders. Now add some chiffon frosting - choose your favorite color of chiffon fabric and bunch it up, covering your shoulders and chest and filling up the opening to your cupcake base. Then cut up some brightly-colored fabric to make sprinkles and glue them around the top. Optional: Wear a small red plastic bowl as a "Cherry" on your head - attach a red pipe cleaner to make the stem.

  • Fairy Goth Mother
  • Combine a fairy godmother costume with some goth make-up and accessories and you will be a "Fairy Goth Mother"! Start with a sparkly dress, or a leotard and tutu. Add some fairy wings (either buy them or make some by covering wire with a sheer fabric--attach them to straps that can be worn backpack-style). Carry a sparkly want. Now add some goth touches. Use pale make-up on your skin, add some black lipstick, black leather collar, belt and wristbands, piercings, etc.). You can either style your hair goth and dye it black, or dye it pink and add some sparkles. Carry glitter and sprinkle it around!

  • Geoff from the The Late Late Show
  • Wear a skeleton mask or use make-up on your face to create a skull face. Make skeleton hands and feet out of black gloves and black socks by painting on bones with fabric paint. Use bright blue make-up to give yourself glowing blue eyes. Cover your hair with a skull cap, pantyhose, or just slick your hair back, and create a metal Mohawk by covering cardboard with foil. Wear an over-sized suit, white button-down shirt, loosened tie, and Mardi Gras beads around your neck. Attach a large price-tag shaped name tag that says "Geoff" to your chest.
